Customization Process: From Requirements to Mass Production

Every custom project at TouchVision follows the same seven stages. One project engineer stays with you from the first call to after-sales, so requirements are not lost between departments.

Step 1 – Requirements review

You share what you are building. We review the application, operating environment, interfaces, certifications, quantities and target cost, and ask the questions that avoid redesigns later.

Useful inputs: drawings or photos of the current part, screen size and touch type, interfaces and OS, temperature / outdoor / IP requirements, required certifications (CE, FCC, UL, etc.), first-order and annual quantity, target price and timeline.

Output: engineering proposal and quotation.

Step 2 – Design

Electrical design (schematic and PCB), structural/mechanical design (enclosure, bezel, mounting) and firmware/software design run in parallel. Where possible we reuse field-proven core modules and touch designs to reduce risk.

Output: design files for your review and approval.

Step 3 – Prototype / engineering samples

We build engineering samples for fit, function and environmental testing in your device. Sample structures may be CNC-machined or 3D-printed before tooling is opened.

Output: samples and a change list from your testing. Sample lead time depends on the degree of customization; we confirm a schedule in the quotation.

Step 4 – Tooling (mold making)

Once the design is frozen, we open production tooling for custom enclosures, bezels, frames and other structural parts, and prepare test fixtures. First-article parts are checked against the drawings before production.

Output: approved tooling and first articles. Tooling lead time depends on part complexity; we confirm a schedule in the quotation.

Step 5 – Pilot batch and mass production

A pilot batch on our production lines validates assembly, yield and test procedures. Volume production then runs to your delivery schedule.

Output: pilot units, then scheduled deliveries. MOQ depends on how much is customized; small pilot batches are welcome.

Step 6 – Quality control

Production follows our ISO 9001 quality management system: incoming material inspection, in-process inspection, functional testing of every unit and final inspection before packing. Burn-in or environmental tests can be agreed per project.

Step 7 – Delivery and after-sales

  • 3-year warranty from the date of delivery.
  • Remote technical support by phone, WhatsApp and email.
  • Change notification and long-term supply for custom products.
  • Firmware and software updates as agreed in the project.
